Priscilla Presley will be portrayed by Cailee Spaeny, who previously starred as the lead in the Blumhouse horror sequel The Craft: Legacy. In this version, Jacob Elordi from Euphoria will play Elvis Presley.
Elordi is already in excellent company since Elvis has been portrayed by a number of performers over the years, including Matthew McConaughey in the Netflix cartoon series where Elvis is a spy and Austin Butler in last year’s Oscar-winning performance.
In addition, Jorja Cadence as Patsy Presley, Tim Post (X-Men: Days of Future Past) as Vernon Presley, Emily Mitchell (Women Talking) as Lisa Marie Presley, Rodrigo Fernandez-Stoll (Ghosts) as Alan “Hog Ears” Fortas, and Luke Humphrey (See) as Terry West are among the cast members.

One of the most contentious issues in the rock star’s personal life is his relationship with Priscilla.
According to Coppola, the film would mostly centre on Priscilla Presley, with Elvis practically serving as a supporting character and having very little of a role in the film’s professional career.
However, the number of warning signs in their relationship and its eventual outcome provide the ideal balance of dramatic tension, allowing for both highs and lows while also catching some genuine human moments between the larger-than-life characters.
Coppola said the following on narrating the Priscilla story:
I recently got around to speak about the book with a buddy who was talking about her. Her tale impacted me much when I read it again.
I had a five-month shoot scheduled to begin this massive Edith Wharton project, which seemed incredibly intimidating.
After encountering several obstacles, I made the decision to focus on creating a single film based on a single premise.
Priscilla’s account and her viewpoint on what it was like to grow up as a teenager at Graceland piqued my curiosity. She resembled Marie Antoinette in that she was experiencing every stage of young womanhood in such a magnified setting.”

Sofia Coppola is directing the movie as usual from a screenplay she developed based on Priscilla Presley’s autobiography.
With every picture she creates, the writer-director infuses a strong personal element and manages the whole production process; Priscilla is no exception.
Coppola serves as an executive producer on the movie, with Chris Hatcher and Priscilla Presley, and producers Lorenzo Mieli (The Hand of God) and Youree Henley (The Lighthouse).
The film’s principal director of photography was Philippe Le Sourd, a renowned cinematographer best recognised for his outstanding work in Wong Kar Wai’s The Grandmaster.
Priscilla is being edited by Sofia Coppola’s longtime colleague Sarah Flack, who has worked with Coppola on several of her films since Lost in Translation.
‘Priscilla’: When and Where Did It Film?
The project’s initial announcement in September 2022 included Spaeny and Elrodi’s casting as the main actors. Filming for Priscilla largely took place in Toronto, Canada, and began in October 2022.
Sofia Coppola posted a behind-the-scenes photo of Spaeny and Elrodi dressed as Priscilla and Elvis on Instagram in December 2022. The filming ended soon after.
